New Delhi: Union home minister Amit Shah on Thursday launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his “vote chori” allegations, accusing him of seeking to protect the votes of infiltrators, while asserting that the NDA would form the next government in Punjab.Shah’s assertion on Punjab could signal that the party is keeping the door open for a renewed alliance with its former ally, the Shiromani Akali Dal. “BJP keeps winning elections, and the Opposition is troubled by it. That is why they have come up with the excuse of ‘vote chori’,” Shah said. Taking a swipe at Gandhi, Shah said: “I know you can’t hear me, you’re sitting somewhere abroad… But once you land in Delhi, listen to me; your turn won’t come for the next thirty years.”
