Bhubaneswar: The NCP-SP’s state unit has requested the chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s intervention in preventing the permanent closure of Unit II Government Primary School at Ashok Nagar here, opposing the govt’s decision to repurpose the long-standing educational institute into a grievance cell for the CM.In a letter addressed to the CMO, Bikram Swain, state president of the NCP-SP, highlighted the community’s concerns regarding the school’s closure. The letter emphasised the importance of the school, which has served the local community for decades, and urged the govt to reconsider its decision. Swain pointed out that the CM is scheduled to hold a grievance hearing at the school on June 30.While acknowledging the importance of addressing public grievances, Swain argued that using an educational institute for such purposes is inappropriate’. “We want the CM to listen to and resolve the grievances of the state’s residents, but not in a govt educational institution,” he added.
