NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a four-hour review meeting with 20 Union ministers of state (MoS) and ministers with independent charge at his official residence on Monday evening, focusing on the progress of key government initiatives and their implementation on the ground.The meeting began around 5 pm and covered the progress of ongoing public welfare projects, administrative reforms and strategic priorities of various departments, according to sources cited by news agency ANI.Ministers handling key sectors including agriculture, rural development, education and social justice attended the meeting and presented detailed progress reports on the work of their respective departments.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister invited actionable ideas and perspectives aligned with the vision of a developed India by 2047, according to sources.Ministers were encouraged to engage actively with young people, listen to their ideas and incorporate public feedback into policy implementation.

PM Modi also stressed the importance of using modern communication tools to maintain direct engagement with citizens.He urged ministers to remain active on digital platforms including X, Facebook and Instagram to transparently communicate government programmes and receive suggestions from the public in real time.

The Prime Minister has previously discussed social media performance with ministers and MPs and advised them to be more active on digital platforms to connect with the public.Sources said Monday’s meeting was part of PM Modi’s regular exercise of reviewing work in progress and identifying ways to improve governance.The Prime Minister is also expected to hold similar interactive sessions with other groups of ministers in the coming days as part of the ongoing exercise to track progress and improve governance outcomes.
