Imphal: The All Naga Students’ Association Manipur (ANSAM) on Thursday marched from Ukhrul to Makhan, passing through Litan, for the six missing Nagas. The march broke the barrier along the NH-202, which has remained untrodden for three months.Hundreds of students, youth leaders and civil society representatives in more than 30 vehicles joined the march from Ukhrul to Makhan, which is about 100 km, demanding answers on the fate of the six Naga hostages allegedly abducted on May 13 . The decision to undertake the march was taken during a meeting held to review the prevailing situation at the Ukhrul district headquarters on Wednesday.The march commenced from the Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) Office in Ukhrul around 12 noon and reached Imphal by 3pm to proceed to Makhan village in Kangpokpi district to meet the victims’ families.The march was undertaken following the expiry of ANSAM’s ultimatum to the state govt to establish the whereabouts of the six abducted Nagas.
