Mysuru: Mysuru tourism authorities have launched a multilingual progressive web app offering visitors information on the city’s heritage, culture, attractions and tourism services.Tourism assistant director VM Prabhuswamy said the mobile-friendly platform, available at www.mysurutourism.in, supports eight foreign languages and aims to improve accessibility for international travellers. The platform provides information on heritage landmarks, cultural attractions, nature and wildlife destinations, local experiences, tourist guides and other visitor services. As a progressive web app, it can be accessed through smartphones, tablets and desktop computers without requiring users to download a separate application. The platform also introduces “Ammu” and “Gajju,” Mysuru’s official tourism mascots. Ammu gives the portal a cultural and friendly identity, while Gajju has been conceptualised as an intelligent digital guide.Tourism officials said the platform would also serve as a digital discovery channel for local tourist guides, tourism operators and other stakeholders, improving their online visibility and connecting them with prospective visitors.
