Mysuru: Backward Classes Awareness forum held a protest in the city demanding an investigation into the alleged protocol breach in govt communications on Mysuru Dasara, and stopping the Dalit ministers, MLAs and MLCs from accompanying chief minister during the Nandi Dwaja puja ritual. The protester alleged that district minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah’s photo was omitted from govt communications, including advertisements. They also alleged that during the entire Dasara celebrations, Yathindra was sidelined, raising speculation about the real intentions.Forum convener KS Shivaramu alleged that for the first time, Vajra Musti Kalaga was cancelled during private Dasara celebrations. “To bring bad name to Yathindra, such a situation was created,” he alleged. “The state govt must order an investigation into why a senior police officer stopped Dalit ministers and people’s representatives from accompanying the chief minister during the Nandi Dwaja puja ritual,” he said.
