Mysuru: Close on the heels of bomb threat mails sent to Hassan and Madikeri principal district and sessions courts, a similar threat mail was sent to Mysuru courts in which the sender claimed explosives have been planted on the campus of the courts in Chamarajapura in Mysuru on Thursday. The mail triggered panic among the court staff and public.S Lokesh, president of Mysuru Bar Association, informed TOI that the threat mail was sent to PDJ ‘s official mail during the wee hours of Thursday. As soon as the staffers noticed the threat mail, they alerted PDJ Usha Rani and then the police. The situation was calmly handled without causing any panic among the litigants and other staffers. After police scanned and concluded that it was a hoax, the court proceedings continued as usual, the president stated.Lokesh said this was the fourth such threat mail in the last 10 years. As Mysuru court witnessed a low-intensity blast inside the restroom in 2016, which left three people injured, we ‘re treating all threats seriously.
