MUMBAI: Television actor Shweta Tiwari has raised concerns over food hygiene after allegedly finding a cockroach in her home following a cold drink delivery, and has sought the attention of Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration commissioner Tukaram Mundhe.Tiwari shared a video on social media showing a cockroach crawling inside her home. In the clip, she also showed the items (cold drink) she had ordered and urged Mundhe to look into the matter, while tagging the food delivery platform.In the video, Tiwari is heard saying, “And along with that, a cockroach came too. Look at this, the cockroach is running all over the house. There it is, a tiny one. So, should we tag Mr Tukaram Mundhe? Mundhe ji, cockroaches have now started entering our home. Where are you? Please look into this.”

She said the cockroach was moving around her house and directly appealed to Mundhe to pay attention to the issue.Tiwari’s post comes as Mundhe, an IAS officer and Maharashtra’s FDA commissioner, has been drawing attention on social media for action against food safety and hygiene violations across the state.Under his leadership, the FDA has been carrying out inspections of restaurants, food businesses and quick-commerce warehouses, with officials taking action over violations related to food safety and hygiene.Tiwari is among the prominent faces of Indian television and rose to popularity with her role as Prerna Sharma in Kasautii Zindagii Kay.She has participated in reality shows including Bigg Boss 4, which she won, and Khatron Ke Khiladi 11.She is currently appearing in The Traitors Season 2.
