Mumbai: Bangur Nagar police have registered a case against office-bearers of an overseas recruitment agency for allegedly cheating four job seekers of Rs 14.7 lakh with false promises of employment in Canada. The complaint was filed by Mohammad Hussain (37), a medical store employee from Jalgaon. In 2022, a local travel agent allegedly assured him a pharmacist assistant’s job in Canada. Police said three others were similarly cheated.
