Mysuru: BJP MLC R Raghu slammed urban development department’s decision to cancel the alternative sites allotted by the Mysuru Development Authority (MDA), claiming the order is vague and aimed at protecting the real culprits who grabbed the MUDA sites earlier.Speaking to reporters here Saturday, Raghu alleged that by omitting the term 50:50 in the order, urban development department is trying to rescue the fraudsters. “Over 10,000 sites are allotted illegally,” he claimed.“Let govt mention in the order that all sites that were allotted under the 50:50 scheme after 2019 will be cancelled,” he urged.“Why is former MUDA commissioner DB Natesh given promotions? If action is initiated against Natesh, minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah will face problems. To save the 14 sites given to Siddaramaiah’s family, other innocent site owners are made scapegoats,” he alleged.“When an investigation is under way, why was urban development department given to Yathindra? Former CM Siddaramaiah, who claims to be honest, transparent, demanded this department for his son,” the MLC stated.“Let govt mention that all 50:50 sites allotted when DB Natesh was the commissioner of MDA (then MUDA) will be cancelled. What is stopping govt from initiating action against Natesh?” he questioned.“We will continue our fight against the MDA scam,” Raghu announced.
