Mysuru: A man from Periyapatna, who allegedly lifted two-wheelers from urban areas in Mysuru and then disposed them of in rural areas, has been arrested by Devaraja police.Thirty-three bikes and scooters have been recovered from him. According to an estimate, the value of the stolen bikes is approximately Rs 15 lakh. Police have recovered all vehicles from those who purchased them from him without any valid papers.According to police, Srinivasa, 41, was caught while he was allegedly trying to find a prospective buyer for a stolen vehicle under Devaraja police limits.Police said Srinivasa has been allegedly using duplicate keys and lifting the vehicles from parking lots. A rider had complained to Devaraja police in May that his vehicle had been stolen from a parking area near KR Hospital.Srinivas had allegedly sold all the stolen bikes to villagers in Periyapatna taluk, saying these are bank-seized bikes and scooters and documents would be provided at a later date.
