Vadodara: MS University inaugurated the renovated Sir M Visvesvaraya Auditorium at its faculty of technology and engineering on Tuesday.The auditorium got a Rs 1.5-crore facelift funded by Matrix Comsec Pvt Ltd under its CSR initiative. University officials said the project was carried out through a collaboration between the faculty and the office of alumni affairs and donor relations to upgrade academic infrastructure with industry support.MSU vice-chancellor Bhalchandra Bhanage inaugurated the facility in the presence of Matrix Comsec CEO and managing director Ganesh Jivani, and its chief commercial officer Dhirendra Savla. Faculty dean H M Patel and OAADR director Sanskriti Mujumdar were also present.Bhanage thanked Matrix Comsec for supporting the renovation and said such partnerships would help strengthen university infrastructure. Jivani highlighted the importance of industry-academia collaboration and said supporting the renovation was the company’s way of giving back to his alma mater. Savla, an alumnus of the faculty’s computer science department (1987 batch), recalled his student days and expressed pride in contributing to the institution.Deans of various faculties, faculty members, alumni, company representatives, students and invited guests attended the ceremony.Officials said the renovated auditorium will host academic, technical and cultural events and serve as a venue for knowledge exchange and innovation.
