Vadodara: Around 50 MCom and postgraduate diploma students of Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) visited Pratibha Foundation on Saturday to gain insights into the role of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in socio-economic development and inclusive growth.Organised by the departmental extension committee of the department of business economics at the faculty of commerce, the visit gave students a first-hand understanding of community-level initiatives and the connections between economic empowerment, education, healthcare and social responsibility.The founder of Pratibha Foundation, Sachin, interacted with the students and explained its work in education, child welfare, healthcare, women’s empowerment, domestic violence awareness and environmental sustainability. He also highlighted key initiatives, including Sky (school for kids by youth), SWWA (self-welfare women association), Coat (community outreach awareness and training) and Samra (strengthening a man for resourceful action).The interactive session also explored collaboration with companies and other stakeholders to implement social initiatives and promote economic self-reliance.Professor Jyoti Achanta, convener of the committee, encouraged students to apply their academic and professional skills towards community development.
