Vadodara: Students of the Faculty of Technology and Engineering (FTE) at the Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) on Tuesday organized Aaghaaz, their annual donation drive, ahead of Prerna: The Emancipation, a large-scale event dedicated to the specially abled.As part of the initiative, members of Team Prerna visited underprivileged areas across the city and distributed essential items such as clothes, toys, books, food grains and stationery.Student organizers described Prerna as one of Asia’s largest platforms for the specially abled, aimed at boosting confidence and encouraging participants to pursue their aspirations. Over the years, the event has received several recognitions, including patronage from UNESCO on six occasions, a mention in the Limca Book of Records, and letters of appreciation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel.The broader initiative comprises multiple segments such as Alfaz, DA Sports, DA Event, Artico and Aaghaaz.
