Nagpur: To minimize inconvenience to citizens during the intense summer heat, MSEDCL has decided to reschedule its pre-monsoon maintenance and repair works to the early morning hours. According to fresh directives issued by the headquarters on Saturday, all pre-planned outages for maintenance will now be carried out between 7 am and 11 am.Until now, such works were typically undertaken between late morning and afternoon hours, often extending from 10 am to 2 pm or even 4 pm, coinciding with peak heat conditions. The pre-monsoon works are crucial to strengthen the power distribution network ahead of the rainy season and to minimise the risk of outages and technical faults.MSEDCL has also instructed field offices to provide advance intimation of scheduled outages through SMS and media platforms, and to prioritise alternative power arrangements wherever feasible. The move is expected to bring relief to consumers while ensuring system readiness for the monsoon.
