Kanpur: A seven-seater car allegedly caught fire on the Naveen Ganga bridge in Shuklaganj late Tuesday, with its four occupants narrowly escaping the blaze.According to police, the vehicle, which was travelling from Unnao to Kanpur, allegedly caught fire due to a short circuit.The occupants reportedly broke open a window and exited the car. Police and fire brigade personnel reached the spot after receiving information and doused the fire.The burnt vehicle also caused a traffic snarl on the bridge on Wednesday morning.Balu Ghat outpost in charge Arun Kumar Tripathi said all four occupants were safe and police were trying to clear the congestion.
