Agartala: A day before the swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected members of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) , Tipra Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman introduced a fresh vision focused on the development of tribal regions on Sunday.Presenting an ambitious roadmap aimed at transformative reforms in education, healthcare, sports, culture, and recruitment policies, Pradyot highlighted that several critical decisions are expected within the next 10 days. He acknowledged potential resistance to some measures but expressed confidence in their positive impact.He also announced the oath-taking ceremony for the new ADC members, while urging leaders to limit unnecessary expenses for the occasion. He hinted at subsequent deliberations concerning key roles, including chief executive member, chairman, and executive members.Pradyot also underscored deficiencies in the education system, including understaffed schools and children lacking essential resources. To address this, he directed the education secretary to draft a comprehensive policy targeting these challenges in ADC areas and prioritised a strategy to resolve drinking water shortages.On recruitment policies, he advocated for transparency and fairness, proposing public advertisements for job vacancies and independent interviews to eliminate favouritism and promote accountability.In terms of cultural growth, Pradyot announced plans for policies supporting singers, folk artists, and musicians while also committing resources to establish coaching centres for competitive exam preparation, guided by qualified educators.
