Mohali: In a move aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability and quality monitoring of development works, Mohali mayor Sarabjit Singh Samana has directed the municipal corporation to introduce a site visit register for all senior officers.Under the new system, details of every site inspection conducted by senior municipal corporation officials will be recorded and regularly reviewed. The initiative is intended to ensure effective monitoring of development projects and timely redressal of public grievances.Mayor Samana said regular scrutiny of the register would help fix accountability and improve supervision of development works across the city.“It is our responsibility to make the monitoring of development works more effective and ensure that citizens’ grievances are addressed promptly.
