PM Narendra Modi on Sunday praised women in the Sundarbans, particularly those who lost their husbands to tiger attacks, for restoring mangroves and rebuilding their lives.During the 138th episode of his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address, Modi said, “The mangroves planted by these women have emerged as a natural shield for their villages. Moreover, by planting and caring for these mangroves, these women are also earning a livelihood for themselves.”He also urged citizens to protect the environment and respect nature’s balance.
