Uri, May 19: The renovated and upgraded Bar Room of the Bar Association Uri was inaugurated by MLA Uri, Dr Sajjad Shafi Uri, along with the Sub Judge Uri during a function held at the Uri Court Complex.
In a statement issued here, it said the event was attended by members of the Bar Association Uri i and several prominent citizens.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sajjad announced support for furniture for the Women’s Bar Room and also assured a grant for the extension of the Court Complex.
He further stated that he would take up the matter with Omar Abdullah regarding the creation of an additional Sessions Court in Uri and the construction of a new court complex to strengthen judicial infrastructure in the constituency.
Members of the Bar Association Uri expressed their gratitude to MLA Uri for providing ₹10 lakh from his CDF funds for the renovation and upgradation of the Bar Room. They appreciated his continued efforts towards improving facilities for the legal fraternity and the public in Uri.
