Aizawl, Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma held a series of meetings in New Delhi with representatives from Google, BRICS Entrepreneur Alliance India and India Today Group, to boost AI in education, investment opportunities, tourism promotion and enhancing the state’s national visibility, an official statement said here.
In his meeting with Google delegation at Mizoram House, the Chief Minister explored collaboration between Google Gemini AI and the Mizoram School Education department to integrate artificial intelligence into classroom teaching and learning, the statement said.
The Google delegation offered to provide free AI training for school teachers in Mizoram to strengthen digital skills and support the effective adoption of AI in education, it said.
Later, Lalduhoma met Dr Bhaskar Jyoti Sonowal, Global President and CEO of the BRICS Entrepreneur Alliance India, to discuss potential cooperation in sectors including artificial intelligence, carbon credit, technology, tourism, security and youth development.
Rajya Sabha MP K Laltluangkima, ZOHANDCO Chairman J K Dawngzuala and government advisor Renu Sharma attended the meeting.
The chief minister also interacted with senior officials of the India Today Group, including Amit Mohan, National Head (Government & PSU), to explore ways of promoting Mizoram’s development initiatives, cultural heritage, lifestyle and tourism potential through the media group’s nationwide platforms, it said.
Officials said that the meetings formed part of the chief minister’s engagements in New Delhi aimed at leveraging technology, strengthening partnerships and expanding national awareness of Mizoram’s development and investment potential. PTI
