Amritsar: A 28-year-old painter who had been missing for two days was found dead on July 15 in a motor room near GT Road in Mallian village. Locals spotted the body of Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Thothia, bearing head injuries.According to his mother, Sukhwinder Kaur, a local panchayat member, Gurpreet was last seen leaving for Jandiala Guru on his motorcycle on July 13. She said he had been under stress and was struggling with drug addiction. Gurpreet is survived by his wife and three daughters, the youngest of whom is only five days old. Police are scanning nearby CCTV footage and investigating the case from all angles.
