Kanpur: The mutilated body of a 26-year-old man who had been missing for the past 10 days was found in bushes along the Delhi-Howrah railway track near Dada Nagar railway crossing, police said on Wednesday.After receiving information, police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem examination.According to police, the deceased was identified through his Aadhaar card as Varun Kumar, a resident of Tatri Topchachi in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand.Family members told police that Varun had left home for Delhi on Aug 14 by the Barmer Express. They said they lost contact with him thereafter and had been searching for him. His body was found on Aug 24, police said.Family members identified the deceased at the mortuary on Wednesday.The station in-charge said the body appeared to be several days old. Police suspect that Varun may have died after falling from a moving train.“Further action will be taken on the basis of the postmortem report,” he said.
