Times News NetworkChandigarh: The body of a man who went missing from Sector 28 was found in his SUV under mysterious circumstances in Manimajra late on Friday night. Manimajra police have kept the body in the GMSH-16 mortuary for autopsy and initiated inquest proceedings.Police have identified the deceased as Abhishek Sahni, 35. His family members had informed Sector 26 police station about his disappearance. Sources said Abhishek returned from a de-addiction centre in Punjab a few days ago. On Friday night, a resident noticed a car parked suspiciously in Manimajra area and informed the police at 112. On reaching the spot, police found Abhishek lying unconscious in a Toyota Innova car and rushed him to GMSH-16, where doctors declared him dead. No external injury marks were found on the body. Police said the deceased had a habit of substance abuse and may have died of overdose. However, the actual cause of death will be ascertained only after the postmortem report is received. In another case, 59-year-old Amarjeet Singh, a resident of Maloya, who worked as a sweeper in MC, Chandigarh, was found dead near a public toilet. Didar Singh, the victim’s colleague, said he was sitting near a public toilet while on duty and collapsed there.
