T’puram: A 31-year-old man, who had been missing since Monday, was found dead in a panchayat well near his wife’s house at Killi on Thursday.The deceased was identified as Arun Kumar alias Aneesh of Kattakada. According to police, Aneesh had gone missing around 11.30pm on Monday from his wife’s residence.Police collected CCTV footage from the area, which showed Aneesh leaving the house on the night he went missing. Sources said he had been recuperating from injuries sustained in an accident and was on rest at the time.Family members and locals had been searching for him since he went missing. The body was eventually spotted in a nearby panchayat well by locals on Thursday morning. They immediately alerted the police.The body was later retrieved from the well in the presence of local elected representatives.Police said a case has been registered, and a probe is under way. The body was shifted to MCH for autopsy.
