NEW DELHI: Delhi Police has registered an FIR after a woman alleged that she was eve-teased by a group of men travelling in a car near Hakikat Park in north Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar.According to police, a written complaint was received regarding the incident, which allegedly took place around 9.30 pm on September 23.During the enquiry, police traced the vehicle allegedly involved in the incident. The car, bearing registration number DL11CF4447, was traced to its registered owner. Police said it was found that Naman, son of Anil Kumar, was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident and was accompanied by two to three other persons.Based on the complaint, an FIR (No. 390/26) has been registered at Mukherjee Nagar police station under sections 78, 79 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).DCP North West Akansha Yadav said, “A case has come to our notice regarding an incident that occurred last night in the Mukherjee Nagar area. Two young women were walking along the road when four men in a Safari vehicle made lewd remarks, misbehaved with them, and used abusive language. Taking cognizance of this, we have registered an FIR. We are in touch with the victims, the accused have been identified, and we are taking immediate action in the matter.“
