Srinagar, July 29, 2026: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr. Moulvi Mohammad Umar Farooq today visited Sheesh Bagh, Hawal, to condole the passing of prominent businessman and longstanding well-wisher of the Mirwaiz family, Niaz Ahmad Khan. He conveyed heartfelt condolences to his son Mohammad Hussain Khan, his brothers and other family members, and recalled the deceased’s deep attachment to the historic Jama Masjid Srinagar and the Mirwaiz family.
Mirwaiz also visited the family of Dr Abdul Saeed at Ishber, Nishat, where he offered condolences to Mushtaq Ahmad Vakil and other members of the bereaved family and offered Fateha for the departed soul. He recalled the longstanding association of the Vakil family with the Mirwaiz family and conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to them in their hour of grief.
Mirwaiz also expressed grief over the passing of Abdul Rashid Mir of Aali Masjid, Eidgah, and the wife of Haji Ghulam Mohammad Shah of Hubbi Colony, Lal Bazar.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant all the departed souls Jannat-ul-Firdous and bestow patience and strength upon the bereaved families.
