Patna: Patna police rescued a minor girl who had been kidnapped and allegedly forced into dancing and molested at a hotel in the state capital late Monday night.The matter came to light when two officers from the rural area of Patna reached a police station with armed personnel and produced Amit Kumar, an accused in a case. During questioning, Amit disclosed that the minor girl was being held at a rented house.City SP (East) Shaileja said police immediately raided the house, but the houseowner was not present there. “When contacted on her mobile, she revealed that she was at a hotel. The team promptly raided the hotel and rescued the girl from one of the rooms. Along with the girl, two other dancers and eight youths were found in the room,” she said.Talking to reporters here on Tuesday, the SP said the minor told the female officer that the houseowner had brought her to the hotel on Monday to force her into dancing. “She alleged that the boys molested her and one of them attempted to commit further wrong acts with her. All 11 persons were arrested and a case was registered,” she added.An FSL team was called to the spot, where several objectionable items were seized and all rooms were sealed. Eleven mobile phones were also recovered.The arrested accused include Nikhil Kumar (22) of Nalanda, Ayush Kumar (24) of Vaishali, Nishant Raj (24) and Amarjeet Kumar alias Amar Kumar (20), both residents of Bhootnath Road, Kundan Kumar (21) of Agamkuan, Prithvi Raj (19) of Ramakrishna Nagar, Akshat Narayan (21) of Purana Agamkuan, Divyansh Kumar (19) of Jehanabad, Amit Kumar (18) of Paliganj; and two women.The rescued minor was sent for medical examination and counselling support. Police said further investigation is continuing to ascertain if any other persons were involved in the crime.
