A violent road rage incident in Delhi’s Sangam Vihar saw six individuals, including a woman, arrested after a family’s car was vandalized and occupants assaulted. The altercation reportedly began over right of way. A video captured the mob attacking the vehicle, with some individuals sustaining minor injuries. A minor has also been apprehended.

NEW DELHI: After a video surfaced showing a violent road rage incident in south Delhi’s Sangam Vihar, six people, including a woman, have been arrested. A family was travelling from Faridabad to Kalkaji when the accused allegedly assaulted and vandalised their car.According to police, the occupants of the car diverted their route due to ongoing repair work and entered G Block of Sangam Vihar. The altercation reportedly began over the right of way with a motorcyclist. The rider, along with five to six associates, allegedly attacked the vehicle, causing damage. They have been identified as Gaurav (19), Titu (19), Banwari (50), Jeetu (23), Sachin (22) and a 22 year old woman. A minor has also been apprehended.The video, recorded in a narrow and crowded lane, shows a group of men swarming a white subcompact car. Several individuals can be seen kicking the vehicle and punching its windows, while one man climbs onto the bonnet. A woman seated in the back seat is seen attempting to step out before retreating as the mob continues the alleged assault. The footage also captures repeated attempts to open both front doors, with the driver’s side door being forcefully slammed and pulled open multiple times.In the midst of the chaos, one person appears to be wielding a heavy object to smash the car’s glass. Several bystanders are seen crowding and recording the incident on their phones. Some men are also seen trying to pull those attacking the vehicle away. Even after briefly dispersing, the group returns within seconds to continue the attack.“Three people, including the complainant Rampal, sustained minor injuries,” said DCP (South) Anant Mittal.
