Amravati: A 23-year-old man was killed in Badnera on Saturday night after three assailants allegedly threw chilli powder into his eyes and stabbed him near a country liquor shop at Bhagatsingh Chowk. Police arrested two accused and also detained a juvenile within six hours of the murder.The victim, identified as Om Ashish Kaithwas, 23, of Matafail, Juni Vasti, was riding through Bhagatsingh Chowk around 11pm when the accused Roshan Dhanraj Kaithwas, Sanket Vinod Kaithwas and a juvenile allegedly ambushed him. Police said the trio threw chilli powder into his eyes, causing him to fall from his two-wheeler, before attacking him with a knife. Om was rushed to the District General Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.A crime branch team led by inspectors Atul Var and Dinesh Dahatonde, along with assistant police inspector Mahesh Ingole, arrested both the accused. The juvenile was also detained . The two accused were produced before a court on Sunday and remanded to police custody till June 24.
