Kolkata: The EC on Wednesday said that minister Shashi Panja’s name had been cleared from the ‘Under Adjudication’ list, and her name will be included on the supplementary list. Panja, who is recontesting from Shyampukur, was among the notable candidates whose name was on the adjudication list prepared during the SIR. “Shashi Panja’s name has been cleared and will be included on the supplementary list to be published on Friday or Saturday,” Bengal CEO Manoj Agarwal said on Wednesday. The names of Panja’s husband and two daughters were on the list, but her name was in the ‘under adjudication’ category. “There was no spelling mistake in my name in the 2002 roll. Keeping me under adjudication was just harassment,” she said.Meanwhile, sources said the software for publishing the supplementary list is ready, but there are concerns over the timing of its release during the Eid period. tnn
