Thiruvananthapuram: Transport minister C P John said on Thursday that KSRTC is being steered into a new era by making use of AI technology.He was speaking after inaugurating KSRTC’s AI-powered WhatsApp ticket booking system. John said govt has taken steps to ensure that salaries and pensions of the transport corporation employees are paid without interruption. He also noted that the system of disbursing salaries on the first day of the month would continue.The free travel for women under Priyadarshini scheme is becoming increasingly popular, and the new AI-based WhatsApp ticketing facility would make booking easier for passengers, he said.To support KSRTC’s growth and strengthen public participation, transport development committees were being formed under the guidance of MLAs, he added.The minister presented state-level awards to employees and KSRTC units for excellence. He also launched KSRTC’s round-the-clock toll-free customer care service (149) and the revamped courier system.
