Mysuru: Municipal administration minister HC Balakrishna on Tuesday asserted that Union minister HD Kumaraswamy should fight for Karnataka’s cause in Delhi instead of indulging in state issues.“People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. Kumaraswamy must stop targeting the state politicians. Let him focus on resolving state-centric issues at the central level, find solutions to interstate water-sharing disputes like Mahadayi. Get a nod from the Centre for the construction of Mekedatu balancing reservoir across River Cauvery,” he told reporters. He said politicians belonging to all political parties are facing charges and nobody is clean.Meanwhile, he said that all religions have their own significance and importance in society. Responding to a row over “Islam superior” remarks by higher education minister Basavaraj Rayareddi, Balakrishna said the minister issued a personal statement. “I do not want to comment regarding this statement. Every individual has their own faith and beliefs. It is left to them. Our thoughts are different from their thoughts,” he said. He said that he respects all religions and faiths. No religion is superior or inferior, he added.
