Gurgaon: A 26-year-old conductor of a mini-truck died after his vehicle rammed into another moving ahead at Rampura Chowk in Kherki Daula on Tuesday night.The deceased was identified as Dheeraj. His mini-truck was travelling towards Manesar when the accident took place. The driver of the truck has also sustained injuries, police said, adding that they received information of the incident around 6am on Wednesday.“The body has been kept in the mortuary and will be sent for post-mortem examination once the victim’s family members arrive,” a police official said.The sequence of events leading to the crash is yet to be established. “We are examining whether speeding, driver fatigue or poor visibility contributed to the accident,” the official said.A complaint from the victim’s family members is awaited and no case has been registered. “Further action will be taken based on the family’s statement and the findings of the post-mortem,” another official said.Police are also trying to identify the vehicle that was hit and gather details on the incident from the driver and witnesses. “Efforts are underway to collect CCTV footage from nearby areas to establish the circumstances of the accident,” the official said.
