Srinagar, Aug 26: On the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi (SAW), religious organisations and the management of several mosques across Jammu and Kashmir carried out Milad processions on Wednesday.Amid chanting pro-Islam slogans and reciting Naat, people—especially children—participated in the rallies, wearing green headbands inscribed with Qur’anic verses or the Kalima. Children were also seen carrying flags in their hands.Similarly, Srinagar’s Shadipora area also witnessed one of the largest processions today, organised by Karwan-e-Islami International, in which hundreds of people participated. Devotees, along with their cars, motorbikes, and load carriers, were seen rushing towards the venue at HMT, where the rally started and ended at Shadipora.Rallies were also carried out in Jenab Sahab Soura, Baghwanpora Habba Kadal, Tral, Ashmuqam, Pulwama, Shopian, Mendhar Poonch, Rajouri, the Chenab Valley, Jammu, and other parts of the Union Territory.
