Gorakhpur: Mahayogi Gorakhnath University has signed a tripartite MoU with the Maharana Pratap Institute of Technology and the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, to promote artificial intelligence-based healthcare services and innovation in eastern Uttar Pradesh.The MoU signing ceremony was held at MGUG and was chaired by vice-chancellor Surinder Singh. The agreement was signed by registrar Pradeep Kumar on behalf of MGUG, director Sudhir Agrawal and Rahul Singh Amritraj, chief executive officer of the Centre for Medical Innovation at GIMS.During the meeting, representatives of the institutions discussed plans to establish AI-enabled clinics and encourage innovation-driven startups in the Purvanchal region. Under the collaboration, MPIT’s Centres of Excellence will provide technical support through advanced artificial intelligence infrastructure developed with corporate social responsibility support from Tata Consultancy Services and high-performance computing facilities powered by Nvidia-based graphics processing systems.MGUG will provide academic and research support in the healthcare domain, while the Centre for Medical Innovation at GIMS will facilitate innovation and help develop an AI-based clinical ecosystem.Singh said the initiative would strengthen innovation, research and technology-driven healthcare solutions in eastern Uttar Pradesh while creating opportunities for students, researchers, doctors and startup entrepreneurs.
