Elon Musk appears to have unfollowed Meta AI chief Alexandr Wang on X (formerly Twitter), according to a user on the platform. X user BigTechAlert shared a post that said: “@elonmusk is no longer following @alexandr_wang”. In the post, the user also shared a screenshot of profile of both the leaders – Elon Musk and Alexandr Wang. The post caught the attention of Meta’s highest-paid employee who responded with a lighthearted “um can’t we all be friends” reply. The unfollow coincides with intensifying AI competition, including Meta’s recent Muse Spark 1.1 model release that Wang claims outperforms Grok 4.5 on certain evaluations.

Meta Muse Image and Muse Video launched

Last week, Meta introduced Muse Image and preview Muse Video, the first media generation models developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs. Announcing the new models, Meta said”“Muse Image is our most advanced image generation model yet: it follows instructions faithfully, edits with precision, and composes from multiple references. It also brings agentic tool use capabilities and integrates with Muse Spark. Muse Video, built on the same pretraining base, delivers exceptional visual fidelity with native audio support”.Muse Image is available across the Meta AI app and on meta.ai, Instagram Stories in the US, and WhatsApp in limited countries, and is coming soon to Facebook. Muse Video is coming soon to creators and Meta AI.Soon after the launch of Meta Muse, SpaceXAI launched Grok 4.5, dubbed as the company’s “most intelligent model”. “Grok 4.5 is built for real-world engineering. It excels in large codebases and handles long-running tasks that span multiple repositories, hundreds of skills, and a variety of tools,” reads an X post by SpaceXAI. SpaceXAI said that Grok 4.5 was trained across tens of thousands of NVIDIA GB300 GPUs, with training and stability techniques designed for large-scale runs. “Beyond raw token volume, we invested heavily in data filtering and curation: deduplication, quality scoring, and domain-focused selection so that the data mixture stayed high-coverage and high-signal”.The company claims that Grok 4.5 is “incredibly capable at coding”, from challenging Rust and C/C++ tasks to end-to-end app building from prompt to production. “It is an Opus-class model, but faster, more token-efficient and lower cost,” Elon ‌Musk said in a post on X. Comparing Grok 4.5 with Muse Spark 1.1, Wang shared a post writing: “muse spark 1.1 outperforms opus, grok 4.5, and gemini on a new challenging finite model theory / theoretical cs eval”.
