Shillong: Meghalaya CM Conrad K Sangma on Monday met Union minister of finance and corporate affairs Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi and raised issues related to Externally Aided Projects (EAPs) with her.The Union finance minister assured to deal with the concerns raised by the CM.“I conveyed Meghalaya’s concerns regarding the ceiling on Externally Aided Project (EAP) for North-Eastern States and the retention of exchange-rate gains for ongoing EAP projects,” the chief minister, who also holds the finance portfolio, said through his social media handle.“Grateful for her patient hearing, guidance, and continued support for Meghalaya and the North East,” Sangma acknowledged.Earlier today, the CM had also met the Union minister of state for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, to discuss the expansion of the existing North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy (NEIAH) at Mawdiangdiang in New Shillong and also make Meghalaya a hub for Ayush education.The Union minister of state assured of dealing with the issues raised by the CM on a priority basis.
