Dhubri: Assam’s heartthrob and cultural icon Zubeen Garg will once again take centre stage as Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya at Dumordoh in Dhubri prepares to host a two-day national seminar on March 6 and 7 celebrating his life and contributions.The seminar, themed “Life and Works of Zubeen Garg”, will explore multiple dimensions of the artist’s career and influence. Discussions will cover his role in shaping national consciousness, the humanism reflected in his thoughts, his environmental awareness and social responsibility, as well as his contributions as an actor, lyricist, composer, and singer across diverse genres. His work as an Assamese, Bengali, Hindi film, and devotional singer will also be discussed.
Convenor of the seminar, Pramathesh Bayon, said research papers for presentation should be submitted by Feb 25.
