Daltonganj: Two mayoral aspirants of Medininagar municipal corporation backed by Congress and the BJP respectively have submitted a memorandum to deputy election officer (municipality) cum deputy commissioner Sameera S seeking special security cover at polling booths during Feb 23 civic body polls.BJP- backed Aruna Shankar sought for special security arrangements in at least at 41 sensitive booths, some of which are set up at Madrasas, Urdu girls high school and BCC Mission School.Similarly, Congress – backed Namrata Tripathy has demanded deployment of CRPF and CCTVs during voting in 16 calling them as hypersensitive stations. In Palamu, 13 out of 132 booths in the MMC limits are hypersensitive. The DC said, “The state election commission will have to take a call on it.”
