When someone tells me they aren’t familiar with McKenna Grace, I tell them they probably are, no matter what generation they’re from. The 20-year-old has been a working actor for 14 years. She’s perhaps best known for playing young Tonya Harding in “I, Tonya,” her Emmy-nominated stint in “The Handmaid’s Tale” and her roles in two “Ghostbusters” movies. In 2025, she starred alongside her real-life boyfriend, Mason Thames, in “Regretting You,” a film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel, on which she also served as an executive producer.

And she’s not slowing down. Grace has a handful of buzzy films slated through early 2027 (notably, for this interview: “Scooby-Doo: Origins”), as well as new music; plus, she’s currently the face of Crocs’ cozy fall/winter campaign.

We caught up with Grace on a Crocs set in Los Angeles to chat about her favorite luxury lip oils, drugstore makeup finds and her dreams of having Adéla-pink hair.

What’s a luxury beauty item you’re into right now? Why?

I like the little Dior lip oils, especially because they’ve come out with a lot of purple stuff lately. I’m very much in my purple vibes lately. That’s my era. So I like the Dior purple blushes and their lip oils.

What’s a drugstore/mass market beauty item you love?

Any sort of eyeliner. I especially like getting a nude or a white that I can put on my waterline. I heard somewhere that it makes your eyes pop. But also, I saw it on TikTok actually, I love the L’Oréal Paris Telescopic Mascara.

What’s an accessory you’re eyeing right now?

I’m trying to get more in my sunglasses game… I’ve been looking for any sort of purple sunglasses or things like that, but I’ve loved Miu Miu’s sunglasses lately. I think that they’re really pretty.

What shoes do you want to buy right now?

I walked in and I saw [the Crocs Chalet Clogs] today. They’re so cute with the little ribbons. I feel like it’d be really cute to wear these and get a ribbon that looks like that and put it in my hair.

What’s a fall fashion must-have you swear by?

I love cozy socks. I love knitted knee-high. Right now I’m wearing the sheer one that goes with my Crocs. I love a little grandpa sweater moment. Any sort of cozy thing: a scarf, a sweater, knee-highs.

Have you been influenced by a celeb or influencer recently?

Between Adéla, and there’s this influencer that I really like, I think her name is Miranda Ray. She always has really colorful hair and she’ll pop up on my For You Page every once in a while. It’s making me want to have pink hair, but I don’t think my job would like that. It’s not a product or anything, but I feel like I really want pink or colorful hair.

Of all the characters you’ve played, which one’s wardrobe did you love the most?

I definitely loved [Scooby-Doo’s] Daphne Blake’s wardrobe, and I feel like that’s pretty self-explanatory. Everything in my life is slowly becoming purple. I definitely maybe stole a few items. I did steal a lot of my wardrobe from “Regretting You” because it was really cute, easy, everyday items. And coincidentally, that was Erinn [Knight], who was our costume designer on “Regretting You,” [and] was our costume designer on “Scooby.” So that makes sense as to why I loved both of those characters’ wardrobes.
