Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has developed new software to improve advertisement and hoarding management. One of its key features is centralised management, enabling the civic body to manage all advertisement and hoarding details on a single digital platform. The online system will simplify application, approval, renewal and payment processes. It is expected to streamline monitoring of advertisements and hoardings while making the system more transparent and convenient for applicants and MCC officials.MCC commissioner, who has sent a proposal to the urban development department, said the advertisement and hoarding management system offers several benefits. Through a centralised platform, the corporation can manage all advertisement and hoarding details digitally. It will simplify processes related to applications, approvals, renewals and payments. Real-time monitoring will be another advantage. The corporation will be able to track hoardings, permits, payments and expiry status in real time. It will also help curb unauthorised hoardings by enabling easy identification and monitoring of expired or illegal advertisements. Digital reports and dashboards will generate accurate data for better monitoring and decision-making, he added.“The system will ensure transparency, reduce manual work and minimise paperwork. It will improve accountability and streamline MCC operations. Tracking the exact GPS location of each hoarding, including latitude and longitude coordinates, will be another advantage. The software is ready for implementation once the survey is completed,” the commissioner said.
