Ahmedabad: The Western Disturbance saw the city skies covered in clouds, bring the temperatures down. The maximum temperature in Ahmedabad was 37.6°C, 0.7 degree lower than normal. At 26.5°C, the minimum temperature was 4.6 degrees higher than normal. According to India meteorological department (IMD) forecast, the temperatures on Tuesday are likely to be in the same range.IMD bulletin indicated that an upper air cyclonic circulation over Punjab and adjoining Haryana persisted on Monday along with an associated trough. A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from April 2, added the forecast.Gradual fall is likely by 2-3 degrees in maximum temperatures for the next three days, whereas there will be no major change in minimum temperatures. On Thursday and Friday, light thunderstorm with gusty wind is expected in parts of north and south Gujarat districts, added the forecast.At 38.5°C, Amreli recorded the highest maximum temperature. Surendranagar followed at 38.1°C and Rajkot at 37.7°C.
