Dar es Salaam, Tanzania: Max Healthcare has expanded its foothold in Africa with the launch of its patient assistance centre (PAC) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
This marks the fourth office of the Indian healthcare major in the continent after Nairobi, Addis Ababa & Lagos.
According to Max, the new PAC will serve as a local point of engagement for patients in Tanzania and the wider East African region seeking access to advanced tertiary and quaternary healthcare in India.
The centre will connect patients with clinicians through video consults in India and also provide support related to visa/travel assistance, and interpreter services, among other things, the hospital chain added.
At present, Max Healthcare operates 11 International Offices/PACs operational in different parts of Asia and Africa and receives over 45,000 patients from over 180 nationalities every year.
