The evening will begin with a walkthrough of collector Shaun Nicholas Lobo’s personalcollection of over 100 works by Mário Miranda.

PANAJI: For generations, brass bands have been an integral part of Goan life, accompanying feasts, weddings, processions and community celebrations. Their music continues to evoke a deep sense of nostalgia and belonging, carrying memories across generations.The Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts will bring the Mário Miranda birth centenary exhibition, titled Growing Up in Mario’s World, to a close with a brass band programme on June 28 June from 5pm onwards.The evening will begin with a walkthrough of collector Shaun Nicholas Lobo’s personal collection of over 100 works by Mário Miranda.The Azavedo Brass Band from Merces, led by veteran musician Francisco Xavier Azavedo, popularly known as “Putush” will have a series of musical presentations introduced by Bambino Dias.Open to all, the programme will take place at Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts, 63/C-8, Near Army House, Altinho, Panaji.
