Priya Bhavani Shankar, Aadhi, and Nikkii Galrani at the pooja ceremony of ‘Maragadha Naanayam 2’

Maragadha Naanayam 2, the much-anticipated sequel of the 2017 hit Tamil fantasy comedy, went on floors in Chennai on Monday (February 17). Actors Aadhi Pinisetty, Nikkii Galrani Pinisetty, Munishkanth, Anandraj, director ARK Saravan, and other members of the cast and crew also return for the sequel.
The pooja ceremony was attended by actors Karthi and Arya and filmmaker Venkat Prabhu. Several prominent filmmakers associated with Axess Film Factory were also present to grace the occasion. Karthi sounded the clapboard while Arya and Venkat announced the rolling of the camera.
Maragadha Naanayam 2 also features Priya Bhavani Shankar, Sathyaraj, Arunraja Kamaraj, Danie, and Muruganandam in pivotal roles.
With music scored by Dhibu Ninan Thomas, the upcoming film has cinematography by PV Shankar and editing by Thirumalai Rajan R.
Sudhan Sundaram, Manish Singhal, Durgaram Choudhary, Dev & KV Durai produce the film under the banners of Passion Studios, Dangal TV, RDC Media, Axess Film Factory and Good Show.
2017’s Maragadha Naanayam followed the story of two smugglers who take on a powerful gang leader in a chase after the eponymous medallion. However, they soon realise that the medallion is cursed when supernatural entities begin to haunt them. The fantasy comedy, which also has the popular song ‘Nee Kavithaigala,’ turned out to be a hit at the box office,
