Srinagar, Sep 30: The JK Radio Taxi Drivers Association has elected Manzoor Ahmad Rather as its new president following the resignation of former president Shabeer Ahmad Basmatti.
The presidential election was held on September 27, with other executive posts excluded from the poll. The new executive body will serve a two-year term.
Shaheen Ahmad Sheikh has been elected Vice President, Irfan Ahmad Gojri General Secretary, Inayat Bashir Mir Accountant, Majid Altaf Secretary, Riyaz Ahmad Bhat Organizer and Nasir Mukhtar Bhat Public Organizer.
The association said elections for all posts would be held again after completion of the two-year term.
