Nagpur: MSEDCL has scheduled power cuts across several parts of the city on Wednesday (April 8) to carry out maintenance and repair work aimed at preventing technical failures and ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply during the summer season.According to officials, power supply will remain disrupted in multiple areas under the Congress Nagar division. Power outages are scheduled in Nelco Society, Sumit Nagar, Adhyapak Layout, Azad Hind Nagar, Takli Sim Water Tank area and LIG-MIG Colony from 9am to 12pm. In Jai Badrinath Society, Raut Wadi, Lokseva Nagar, Manish Layout, Gayatri Nagar, Parsodi and Hanuman Mandir areas, power will be cut from 8am to 11am. Swavalambi Nagar and Deendayal Nagar will face power outages from 8.30 am to 12pm. Jaiprakash Nagar, Sita Nagar and Mahalaxmi Mandir areas will see power outages from 8am to 12pm. Power will be cut in Mahajan Market and Ayurvedic Market 8am to 10am, and Eternity Mall, VIP Road, Kachipura and Central Mall from 7am to 10am.Under the Mahal division, power supply will be affected in Omkar Nagar, Jaywant Nagar, Sai Nagar, and Gajanan Nagar from 9am to 1pm. Ayodhya Nagar, Uday Nagar and Sai Mandir areas will face power outages from 7.30am to 12:30pm, while Medical Square, Rambagh Colony, Jattarodi and TB Ward areas will remain without power from 9am to 1.30pm.In Butibori division, Kachimet, Shanti Nagar and Sant Jagnade Nagar will see power cuts from 7am to 12 noon. Supply to industrial units in MIDC, including Reliance Cement and Ishan Casting, will also be shut from 10am.Discom officials said the work includes transformer maintenance, installation of new equipment and pruning of tree branches. MSEDCL has appealed to citizens to cooperate, stating the measures are essential to ensure reliable power supply during summer.
