Manoj Bajpayee has shared a fresh update on his much-anticipated OTT thriller ‘Ghooskhor,’ which has been caught up in a controversy over its original title. The project, earlier titled ‘Ghooskhor Pandat,’ is now being considered under several new names, with Bajpayee revealing that the makers are yet to finalise one.The actor, who has spent more than three decades working across critically acclaimed films, mainstream cinema and streaming projects, said the team remains optimistic about the film’s release. However, the new title is still being worked out.

The project drew attention after its original title became the subject of legal objections. Following the controversy, the makers began exploring alternatives and have now shortlisted three to four possible titles.Speaking to Variety India, Bajpayee said, “Everybody is so very optimistic. We thought about three to four titles, but we’re still deciding about the final one. The team has come up with some interesting titles. Netflix will give us an update. It will be out in a couple of months.”The actor did not disclose which title the team is currently considering. While Ghooskhor was previously expected to release this year, its revised release date has not yet been announced.

Meanwhile, Bajpayee is also gearing up for ‘Last Man in Tower’ in which he plays Yogesh Murthy, popularly known as Masterji. The film is based on Aravind Adiga’s 2011 novel of the same name.Describing his character, Bajpayee said Masterji is a man who refuses to compromise on his principles or dignity.“Masterji is stubborn, addicted to his principles and sticks to what he thinks is right and wrong. He is an old man without a wife who doesn’t want to compromise on his dignity at all, and the last person he wants to be hurt by is his son.”The role also required the veteran actor to perform his own action sequences, including the film’s climax.

Bajpayee admitted that physically demanding scenes have become more challenging with age, but said the way the climax was filmed helped make the sequence feel natural.“I feel a little scared doing all of these things now, after so many years. A cramp here, a nick there – my body doesn’t feel confident doing so many things. Having said that, the manner in which it is shot, it happens with complete suddenness. He is caught in this and he doesn’t know how to save himself,” he said.
‘The Family Man’ Season 4 update
Bajpayee’s popular streaming character Srikant Tiwari from ‘The Family Man’ also continues to remain a major talking point. Following the success of Season 3, expectations are high for the next instalment, with Bajpayee indicating that discussions around Season 4 are expected to begin soon.For now, Ghooskhor remains one of Bajpayee’s most anticipated upcoming projects, with fans awaiting an official update on its new title and release date.
