Imphal: Manipur CM Yumnam Khemchand Singh, deputy CM Nemcha Kipgen and Saitu MLA Haokholet Kipgen have jointly announced the immediate reopening of national highways for the free movement of all communities and resumption of the Imphal-Dimapur bus service.The announcement was made at the Kangpokpi district headquarters during the CM’s visit as part of the govt’s peace-building and reconciliation efforts. Villagers welcomed the CM at Gamgiphai, where he was received by Nemcha Kipgen, Haokholet Kipgen and senior officials.The CM said Kangpokpi district hospital will be upgraded to a 100-bed facility with a CT scan unit. Primary health centres will be constructed at Motbung and T Waichong, while the community health centre at Saikul will be upgraded.
